Digital Workplace Conference NZ and all the Office 365 action

DWCNZ is on in Auckland on April 30 and May 1. I am pleased to be in the speaker line-up along with many of my favourite Digital Workplace and Office 365 people.

It’s not too late to get a ticket, you have two one options:

  1. Post in the comments below and tell me why you want to come (I have 1 comp ticket, no flights sorry 😉)   Congrats to Zeb, first in best dressed.
  2. Register now for DWCNZ on their website

There is a great variety of sessions, and many which I am looking forward too. The tough part is going to be picking which stream to attend.

I’ll be speaking on Day 2 about our experience with Yammer at NEXTDC. We’ve been using Yammer for 3 years now, and in that time it has become central to our daily life. My session details are as follows:

Synopsis
“Build it and they will come” is a common misconception about Enterprise Social Networks, and Yammer is no different. Simply turning it on, flicking the switch or implementing is unlikely to provide the tangible business benefits you and your executive team expect.

At NEXTDC Yammer is an important and central business tool, this didn’t happen by accident. From day one curation of the network and deliberate activities have supported the growth of this thriving network.

In this session
Rebecca will share tell the story of NEXTDC’s Yammer journey over the past three years and what has been the key to their success including:

• Benefits of an enterprise social network
• Setting up for success
• Activities which drive engagement
• Lessons learned along the way

You will take away from this session
• Critical elements for a successful Enterprise Social Network
• Practical advice to grow and nurture your network
• Setting and measuring success factors

For a some further insight into my Yammer thoughts and what we are doing at NEXTDC, check out my posts on the Yammer blog:

If you are already planning to be there, please come up and say hello. Feel free to send me a note on Twitter or LinkedIn and we can have a chat at the conference.

  1. I would love to come because:

    a) I get to see you again!
    b) The sessions on AI and Information Management, Understanding how to make a Yammer network successful and the Education NZ panel all are applicable to what my company currently is working on, or will be in the near future.
